Colorado Ski Vacations

Even before John Denver's "Rocky Mountain High" made the state internationally famous, Colorado was THE place to ski in the United States. Perhaps it's the way that the Rocky Mountains jut up boldly into the sky, or maybe it's the near-perfect powder that blankets the slopes every year. It could be the old-style charm of the former silver mining towns, now ski and snowboard resorts, or the prestige of rubbing elbows with the upper crust that frequents such delightful places. It's most likely the combination - all these things and so much more coming together in the same state, that brings millions of people from all over the globe to Colorado for their ski vacations.

Few states can boast being so thoroughly covered in incredible, wonderful, and wildly different quality ski resorts. From the southeastern corner, Pueblo, to the Southwest with Wolf Creek Pass, to Estes Park's majestic non-commercial mountains and rare eco-systems - all over Colorado there are unique resorts to experience, new slopes, and bowls, chutes and backcountry excursions to try. Whether you're a first-rank beginner or a seasoned expert, most all of these resorts have been set up to ensure that everyone who chooses Colorado for their ski vacation destination will be comfortable, and yet able to progress and learn while they're visiting. Even the most vertical of drops is going to have a bunny slope somewhere else on the mountain, and a whole bunch of intermediate level runs to aspire to, when you're ready for them.

Find discounts and deals on your next winter vacation - are your ready to ski Colorado this season?

With success come privileges. Colorado's ski resorts make for a very affluent clientele. Aspen and Vail have always been thought of as part of the lifestyles of the rich and famous, but the fact is that pretty much anyone can (and does) ski there, along with every other mountain resort area in the state. Even in the most exclusive Aspen, you'll find people with multiple PhDs working as janitors so that they can stay and ski there. Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, Arapahoe Basin, Keystone and the rest of the joys of Summit County are so readily accessible that you can land in Denver in the morning, check in to your lodgings and still be on the slopes before noon!

Then there's the new kid on the block, the enigma (or is that vision?): Echo Mountain. Formerly Squaw Pass, this mountain was revived and redesigned from the ground up with a different sort of vision. The owner wanted to make a place for the everyman to go, where lift tickets didn't cost $75 and a buffalo burger wasn't 14 bucks. He set about the vision with wisdom. He bought a used 3-chair lift from Vail, an older quality snowcat, and brought in bright young snowboarders' minds to set it all in motion. The results are an adrenalin junkie's paradise! You won't find any frills, and you won't find daycare or Starbucks or Oakley franchises. What you will find are 80 features on a zillion freestyle terrain parks, over a dozen trails, and a LOT of aerial fun being had by everyone... for a LOT less than any other ski resort in Colorado!

Some places grow old. Some places grow up. Those who choose a Colorado ski vacation find that it just keeps getting better.

Colorado: Keystone in Summit County

Mountains are about the contrasts. In Keystone, you're at some of the steepest peaks on the continent, but between them the land gives way to rich, lush rolling meadows and forests carpet the foothills and mountains below the timberline. The air is crisp and clear and clean, the lakes, rivers and streams pristine. The smell of the pines is constant, and the sky is the deepest blue you can imagine. Everything looks as though you could just reach out and touch it! Few places on earth exemplify these contrasts as well as Keystone.

Two award-winning championship golf courses have been etched onto the topsoil, beautifully engineered to blend with the natural beauty already there. The village is decidedly alpine, and the same ponds that grace it during the summer will freeze solid for a huge ice skating rink in the winter months. Lodges have lots of live music of all kinds, including jazz, folk and rock. Dance clubs get your groove thing going for apres-ski, and rock concerts are common on weekends. There's even a miniature golf course for kids of all ages! Take a tram ride and look out at the mountains. Feeling a bit more adventurous than that? A hot air balloon ride will give you a perspective few have ever seen! Get a feel of the old west with a trail ride on horseback. Want to relax? Check out the day spas and massage therapists. Pretty much anything you want to do or can imagine (and some great things that you may never have heard of before) can be found at Keystone.

Discover Keystone Lodging including condos and private home rentals.

Restaurants play a bigger part than some people realize in a exploring a new place. Some people look to the familiar, while others take the opportunity to splurge or be daring. Whatever your culinary pleasures, you're sure to find a cornucopia, and your hosts will go out of their way to be sure that you have a great meal and truly enjoy yourself. It's part and parcel of a visit to this mountain mother-lode. There are scores of unique restaurants to take in during your stay. Whether it's the casual Italian fare at Paisano's or Wolf Rock Brewery, or you choose to indulge in fine dining at the Zagat-rated AAA 4-diamond restaurant located some 11,444 feet up the mountain, you're sure to leave content and smiling.

One of the things that makes Keystone such an amazing destination is the very diverse nature of the place. From the most adventurous adrenalin junkie to the total bookworm, from athlete to couch potato, everyone who comes to Keystone finds plenty to see and do and experience. Keystone and the rest of Summit County are so incredibly different from the state capital, just 75 miles away, that you'll feel as though you've stepped through some magic portal -- and you really have! Life in the Rockies is unlike anything anywhere else in the world. The great thing is that you can be there just a bit over an hour after arriving in Denver.

Republic of Georgia Receives Support from John McCain

McCains Carry Lifeline To Republic of Georgia

The world waits while super-power Russia shatters cease-fire agreements, continuing to assault one of the oldest civilizations of the Western World. The two thousand year old Georgia, one of the very first nations to declare itself Christian, is in a desperate battle to retain the hard-fought democracy which they seized from a corrupt regime a mere five years ago. This time though, the threat isn't from corruption within, but from an assault by the communist Bear, Russia.

It was Georgia's beloved young President Mikkheil Saakashvili, who wrested power away from their previous corrupt government in the bloodless Rose Revolution of 2003. An attorney educated in the U.S., President Saakashvili's guidance has been well received and trusted by his people. Now he fears for his country and its fledgling democracy.

Russia threatens is what Richard Miles, U.S. Ambassador to Georgia, refers to as "Paradise on earth." Georgia is indeed a country of breathtaking beauty, and a model for the western world. It also holds the Baku-Tblisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline, providing petroleum to Europe. Her liberty is precious, but there is still far more on the line.

Russia hopes that beating Georgia into submission will squelch dreams of democracy rising in other nations, such as the Ukraine. Russia's warning is clear: align with the United States and the free world, and we will unleash our firepower upon you. The significance of these attacks is not lost on those who have been supporting Georgia's independence.

Video: Republic of Georgia vs. Russia

Enter John McCain, a career military aviator out of a military family, who was a prisoner of war for some five years during Vietnam before beginning a career of public service in both the U.S. House and Senate. His distinguished conservative career led him to become the presumptive Republican candidate for President of the United States in 2008. McCain, a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, met Russia's invasion of the Republic of Georgia with fierce and unflinching opposition. A capable strategist, it didn't take him long to point out how much larger a threat Russia intended by entering Georgia in force. "Russian aggression against Georgia," McCain recently said, "is both a matter of urgent moral and strategic importance to the United States of America. Russian actions, in clear violation of international law, have no place in 21st century Europe.

Senator McCain was also swift to point out that "We have other important strategic interests at stake in Georgia, especially the continued flow of oil through the Baku-Tblisi-Ceyhan pipeline, which Russia attempted to bomb in recent days; the operation of a critical communication and trade route from Georgia through Azerbaijan and Central Asia; and the integrity and influence of NATO, whose members reaffirmed last April the territorial integrity, independence, and sovereignty of Georgia."

The people of Georgia need a Lifeline, and John McCain was already there to bring it to them: "NATO's North Atlantic Council should convene in emergency session to demand a ceasefire and begin discussions on both the deployment of an international peacekeeping force to South Ossetia and the implications for NATO's future relationship with Russia, a Partnership for Peace nation." McCain expressed. " NATO's decision to withhold a Membership Action Plan for Georgia might have been viewed as a green light by Russia for its attacks on Georgia, and I urge the NATO allies to revisit the decision.

"The implications of Russian actions go beyond their threat to the territorial integrity and independence of a democratic Georgia. Russia is using violence against Georgia, in part, to intimidate other neighbors – such as Ukraine – for choosing to associate with the West and adhering to Western political and economic values. As such, the fate of Georgia should be of grave concern to Americans and all people who welcomed the end of a divided of Europe, and the independence of former Soviet republics. The international response to this crisis will determine how Russia manages its relationships with other neighbors."

McCain's Lifeline didn't stop there. His commitment brought him to send his wife to meet and monitor the tense situation, while he himself continued to focus on bringing Allied nations into the matter. He has steadfastly pushed for the entire free world to support this fledgling democracy, specifically offering to host parleys and calling upon our allies, suggesting that "the U.S. should immediately consult with the Ukrainian government and other concerned countries on steps to secure their continued independence." McCain cited that "This is particularly important, as a number of Russian Black Sea fleet vessels currently in Georgian territorial waters are stationed at Russia's base in the Ukrainian Crimea.

"The U.S. should work with Azerbaijan and Turkey, and other interested friends, to develop plans to strengthen the security of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline."

Democratic presidential candidate Barak Obama has not been silent or motionless on the Georgian situation either. On August 9th, 2008, Senator Obama broke from his vacation to address the matters with Secretary of State Rice and the Georgia president. Senator Obama's statement closed with the statement that "the situation in Georgia also requires the deployment of genuine international peacekeeping forces in South Ossetia and Abkhazia. The current escalation of military conflict resulted in part from the lack of a neutral and effective peacekeeping force operating under an appropriate UN mandate. Russia cannot play a constructive role as peacekeeper. Instead, Russian actions in both South Ossetia and Abkhazia appear to be intended to preserve an unstable status quo."

Senator Obama sent his freshly tapped running mate, Senator Joseph Biden , Jr. to Georgia last week. Senator Biden is seen as a powerhouse in international affairs of this kind, and Georgia's President welcomed Senator Biden's visit.

Just on the shirttails of those visits, Mrs. McCain put herself into harms way as she flew into Tbilisi. Her mission remains humanitarian, but she's there for more than the World Food Program. Cindy McCain expressed her concern for those performing humanitarian aid missions: "There are landmines being laid as we speak," she said. "As we begin to move refugees from point A to point B or try to feed refugees who are stuck in pockets around the country, we're now running into the issue of the blowing up of humanitarian vehicles that are trying to get to the refugees."

On August 26th, Russia's President Dmitri A. Medvedev of Russia signed decrees recognizing the independence of South Ossetia and Abkhazia. Russia continues to try to paint themselves as liberators of these two breakaway regions, but their protests are seen as false. Russia appears to have been laying groundwork for this invasion well in advance. Amongst their methods was the issuing of Russian passports to Georgian citizens in South Ossetia and Abkhazia, so that they could then make false claim to be protecting their citizens in those two areas.

The McCains seem truly determined to bring a Lifeline to the Republic of Georgia – assistance that they so desperately need. Senator McCain summed it up well when he recently said "World history is often made in remote, obscure countries. It is being made in Georgia today. It is the responsibility of the leading nations of the world to ensure that history continues to be a record of humanity's progress toward respecting the values and security of free people."

Denali National Park Sightseeing

Denali National Park is one of the most beautiful landmarks in North America. This is truly nature at its most untouched and beautiful. If you are planning a trip to Alaska in the near future, scheduling a stop in the Denali National Park is highly recommended. While you may think that the only thing to do here is simply take in the beauty of Mother Nature, there are actually many things that the whole family can enjoy doing.

Discover Tours and Sightseeing with Alaska Vacations.

For example, many people visit Denali National Park for the incredible fishing that can be found here. The fish in this state are absolutely incredible and are like nothing found anywhere else. You can schedule an entire vacation at the Denali National Park just for fishing. In fact, there are many places that offer entire packages for those who enjoy this sport.

You can also go hiking in the Denali National Park which is highly recommended. However, you may need to take some precautions before you head out. It's a good idea to speak with the park rangers before heading out on your own. This is an incredibly vast park and it is all too easy to get lost. It's a good idea to bring a handheld GPS system with you when you visit Denali National Park to ensure that you'll be able to find your way around.

Sightseeing by Rail with Alaska Railroad Tours.

There are also some precautions that you will need to take while at Denali National Park with the wildlife. This area is rich in many different species of animals including moose, bear and other creatures. Remember, it is never a good idea to feed or disturb wild animals. The park staff will be able to offer advice, training and some warnings on which areas of the park should be avoided.

If you are visiting Denali National Park in the winter, there may be a few spots that you'll want to avoid. These are usually closed off to the public. However, there are plenty of things that you can do in the Denali National Park during the winter. Just make sure to dress appropriately and bring plenty of warm clothes.

Overall, it is hard to find a place this majestic to take your next vacation. We highly recommend Denali National Park simply for its natural beauty, the helpful rangers and the ability to get this close to the incredible beauty of nature.

Colorado Family Summer Vacation in Summit County

Driving in out of Denver to Summit County, Colorado is an amazing experience. From the flats of Denver, you reach foothills, which lead to the pass at the tunnel, and then all of the sudden you've transitioned from Kansas to the Rocky Mountains in all of their power and splendor. There's something timeless about these mountains, and unforgettable.

I lived in Breckenridge and Frisco, between Copper Mountain and Keystone, for a few seasons. That was over 25 years ago, and still remember every detail of the places I explored and discovered as though it were only yesterday. The monumental rock faces, the mountains themselves, immovable, unperturbed, entirely unconcerned as to whether we exist or not... The wildlife, dense everywhere! Mountain lions, bears, deer, elk, porcupines, eagles and hawks... The rivers, creeks, streams and mountain lakes, dynamic, flowing, ever-changing and yet somehow themselves a constant within that motion.

It has been a long time since i lived in the Rockies, but I visit often. Each time, it's like returning to an old friend. We know each other well, but there's much to do and see together, new secrets to discover, old ones to relive. There are always more things I want to do than hours in a day to do them in. Start planning your Summit County Activities here.

I enjoy riding on horseback, going off into the “real” mountains, away from the highways and blacktops, until there's nothing artificial anywhere in sight. (Copper Mountain Stables offers up worthy mounts.) Sometimes I'll take a pole with me and try my hand at fishing in the streams found along the way. Other times, I'll make fishing the reason itself. Then it's fly fishing for me. (Blue River Anglers and Mountain Angler\ are some good folk who know where to take you to, and teach ya a thing or two about it along the way, if you've a mind to learn something new!)

Another good time I've added over the years was with taking a Duckie (an inflatable kayak) down the Colorado River. The equipment and tours provided by Colorado River Guides was top-notch; I can't recommend them highly enough! Find Summit County Whitewater Rafting trips.

The music scene in the mountains is always top notch, too. It seems quality musicians love living in the Rockies, and so you'll find outstanding pickers and players make their homes there and often play out in some of the most unlikely little pubs and hotel lounges.

Another thing I really enjoy is just taking in the scenery. All summer long, the trees are green and the skies are clear. Come fall, the leaves are changing and the tapestry they weave and lay across the steep mountain slopes is exquisite! Greens, yellows, oranges, reds and browns, all afire in the sunlight, set against a backdrop of deep mountain-blue skies – there's nothing else quite like it anywhere on earth!

Last time, I thought I'd try something different, so I got ahold of Continental Divide ATV Tours, took a quad up into the mountains around Vail. I've gotta admit, it was a lot of fun, and really made the getting there go quickly! Turquoise Lake was breathtaking, and I can't imagine a nicer group of people who make sure you're having a good time while staying mindful of safety.

The last night of last year's vacation, I got talked into something touristy. To be honest, I didn't expect much at all when I was informed that we were going to Happy Trails Chuckwagon, but I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. The food was really good, were the show and music! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the place, and am kinda looking forward to going there again.

Driving back east on I-70, you're eased back into the “real” world. There were many times, back when I lived there when I'd need to buy expensive gear. I knew it would be cheaper in Denver, so I'd start out to drive into the City to save some money. When I'd get to the plateau spot on the interstate where you can see you're leaving the mountains and the whole flatlands is spread out before you, I'd almost end up turning the car back around and driving back home. I'd stop at a local shop along the way instead and gladly pay (what really didn't amount to all that much) more to not have to leave.

Even now, Summit County's hard to put in the rear-view mirror. The only way I do it is knowing that I'll be back again soon. I guess Summit County really is just like a good old friend. The visits are never long enough, I find I miss it often, and can't wait to return. Every time I come, I find something new to appreciate and enjoy, even twenty-five years later.

Office Cubicles, Ergonomics and your Environment

The care and attention that must be dedicated to the choice of the proper cubicle environment for your employees must exceed that spent on any other aspect of the office milieu. There is no other furnishing choice that will have such a drastic effect on your employees' well-being, morale and job satisfaction (and thus your bottom line) than the cubicle.

Depending on the choices you make, your employees will see their cubicle as a valid tool to assist their professional efforts, keep them organized, alert and comfortable, or they will see it as a dank, dark, cramped dungeon where they have to suffer the agonies of the damned. The proper cubicle is a balance between privacy and preservation of acoustics vs. the need to be in contact with the rest of the team.

Find more information on the growing trend of Going Green for business.

Cubicles must never be set so high that employees can't see over the tops, neither should they be set so low that the entire office is given the resemblance of a cafeteria. The open section of the cubicle should be large enough to allow a person to enter, even when carrying a large box or piece of electronic equipment. The best cubicles are the ones that to some degree face a source of natural light, whether it be a skylight or a window. Is your business going green?

Ergonomics are first and foremost in the list of features to look for in a cubicle, and the various work surfaces must be fully adjustable. A desktop that forces a keyboard or mouse into an unnatural position can be a carpal tunnel syndrome claim waiting to happen. Since employees come in all shapes and sizes, then the cubicle's ergonomic features must be fully adjustable to suit them all, tall and short, thin and portly. Since no one size can possbily fit all, the adjustability must include desktop altitude, separate keyboard tray with in/out and up/down movement, a separate mouse surface which must also be adjustable, and an overhead or side mounted monitor arm which allows the LCD panel to be easily moved to where it is most comfortably viewed.

All cubicles must contain an L shape and the PC must always be placed in the center of the L, allowing the employee to have access to working surface on both sides at a 90 degree angle. The chair is also a critical feature. It must be almost infinitely adjustable, including the lumbar support, seat angle and backrest height. With care, you will select a cubicle which will be beneficial to your employees and their productivity!

Travel-Top Five Las Vegas Hotels

The lover of elegant, opulent resorts might believe that they are a kid in a candy store when they first set eyes on the Strip or Downtown Las Vegas. This is a city where multi-billion dollar resorts are built as wild dreams immortalized in concrete, glass, steel and palpable luxury.

A great Las Vegas hotel is far from being the ultimate in hospitality and amenities. It is a theme embodied in every facet of the property, whether the inspiration is an Arthurian legend, the grandeur of the Pharaohs, the 1,001 Nights, or the majestic wonders of New York, Venice, Paris, Rio de Janeiro, Bellagio, Monte Carlo, the Barbary Coast, the Gold Coast or the Saharan desert.

Grab current information on Las Vegas Sightseeing

Twenty of the country's thirty largest hotels are here, including all of the top thirteen. Choosing the best among this rarefied group is a difficult task as it presents a choice between the perfect and the ultimate.

Certainly among the top five would have to be the latest masterpiece from the man who built the Mirage, Treasure Island and Bellagio. Built on the old Desert Inn site, Wynn's is definitely angling to be be the ultimate among ultimates, with its indulgent catering to the wealthy and super-wealthy. The greens fee on the Wynn golf course is $500, so you can just imagine the level of the rest of the amenities.

Explore the Grand Canyon

The Bellagio earns its place among the greats due to its exquisite fountains, unparalleled aesthetic beauty, the memorable Conservatory, the superlative art, the sublime Via Bellaggio shops, its world-class La Cirque and Picasso restaurants and the 65,000-square-foot Spa Bellagio, considerably bigger than some Strip hotels' whole casino floor.

The classical favorite has to be Caesar's Palace, perhaps Vegas' most iconic hotel. With 129,000 square feet of casino and the sumptuous Forum Shops, Caesar's is a must-stop on any Vegas tour.

In a city where bigger is always better, you cannot possibly pass on the MGM Grand, the largest hotel in the country with 5,034 rooms and a 175,000 square foot casino floor, about as large as a small airport. Everything about the MGM is supersized, from its 27,000 square foot Grand Pool Complex, the gigantic Spa at MGM Grand, and your choice of three of the top 10 world great chef's restaurants: Joel Robuchon, Wolfgang Puck or Emeril Legasse.

Find local course and lodging packages if you are planning a Las Vegas Golf Vacation

Rounding off the top five, the Venetian is what you come to Las Vegas for: A convincing illusion which transports you to another continent to ride a gondola under the Rialto bridge, any resort which includes the Guggenheim Hermitage Museum and Streetmosphere has to be in the top five!

Picking a Keynote Speaker for your Event

The primary factor in deciding what kind of event or keynote speaker to hire for your next meeting or conference is twofold: the subject matter and the audience. There really aren't any leaders per se, it depends on the kind of group or conference you plan to have them address. For example, if you have a business audience you obviously want a well known and successful business man or woman. Donald Trump frequently serves as the keynote speaker to this type of audience. If the meeting is a woman's group, you most likely want a well-known woman executive. If they also have celebrity status, so much the better.

Speakers are available for every conceivable purpose and industry and you can easily find them or the bureaus that handle their bookings online on the internet. There are business speakers, motivational speakers, healthcare speakers, training and consulting specialists, celebrities, best selling authors, sports stars, personal growth experts, global affairs experts and entertainers, to mention just a few categories. The list is almost endless.

In the technology field, there are many well-known leaders from companies such as Microsoft, IBM, Boeing, Motorola…and more. They appear regularly as keynote speakers at trade shows and other meetings. So don't even consider trying to find out which speakers are rated as best. There's simply no pat answer. It depends on your topic, your audience and how much you're willing to pay.

Looking for Event Venues for your next gathering?

What is suggested is that you take a reasonable amount of time to peruse the many pages of internet listings. Many of their bureaus and representatives list their key speakers and briefly describe their backgrounds. Others ask you to answer some basic questions about what you're planning and, based upon your answers, offer up their candidates for you to choose from. It's pretty certain that you will find a selection of suitable candidates and be able to hire one or more that will fit the bill.

We all love celebrities and would feel safe choosing a well-known person or star as our keynote speaker. So take your time and look, look, look. It's pretty likely that you will even find one or more in your industry or business whom you've heard of.

Network Backup Software

Data loss and corruption of important system files is more than frustrating for any computer system or network. Losing entire hard drives or servers however is the ultimate data disaster nightmare. It is estimated that fifty percent of businesses that suffer failures of this magnitude may never recover from the financial stress put on the business. The industry average cost per hour of downtime is $82,000. For operations like a brokerage or a bank data center that cost increases to $650,000 to over 2,500,000 per hour making network backup critical.

The software products in the network backup arena offer many products to help with data backup and protection. They make restoring your system to working condition easier than it has ever been. A company called NovaStor has an Integrated Disaster Recovery option it is possible to clone your hard drive. Hard drive cloning is creating a backup of every file on a computer, network, or server. With this backup software it is possible to restore your system in a matter of minutes instead of hours, days, or even longer.

The Integrated Disaster Recovery option is included in two of NovaStor's software backup solutions, NovaBACKUP and NovaNET. Both backup solutions allow a user to perform data backup and hard drive cloning. Hard drives can be cloned to DVD, CD-R/RW, network attached storage, modern dual-layer DVD media or lomega Rev drives.

The Integrated Disaster Recovery system allows restoration of entire systems without having to reinstall the original software or the operating system. To achieve this, the system is booted up with a recovery disk, and then the system backup is recovered. For networks on Hewlett-Packard drives NovaNET is equipped to make the entire process even easier. With HP One Button Disaster Recovery from NovaStor, systems can be completely restored with the simple press of just one button.

These backup software products can be utilized for much more than their hard disk cloning abilities. Both software packages allow a user to schedule backups in advance and run automatic virus scans before the backup. But even more valuable than that is the knowledge that your data is preserved with the highest integrity and a reasonable price, check with a computer services directory for more options.

Travel-Grand Canyon Mule Rides

When you are planning a trip to Las Vegas or to any of the other cities in the area, the Grand Canyon is one of the sights which you absolutely have to see. Hiking through the trails of the Grand Canyon is one way to enjoy it, but another way which a lot of people find more enjoyable is to take a mule ride - on the back of a slow moving mule you can enjoy a slow and leisurely paced day with plenty of time to enjoy the vistas of the Grand Canyon and the rugged natural beauty of the southwestern United States.

Mule rides in the Grand Canyon are a relatively inexpensive way for you to get a great look at the Grand Canyon and get the full experience of this beautiful part of the country. One of the things that you have to remember, though, is that there are a finite number of companies offering mule rides - because the Grand Canyon is such an attractive destination for tourists you may have to book your Grand Canyon Tours on a traveling mule several months in advance.

There are also a number of rules that you must consider - generally there is a weight limit. Although the mules which are selected for use by the mule ride companies are particularly hardy and healthy they have their limits and usually you will need to weight less than two hundred pounds when you are fully dressed and carrying everything that you are taking with you. This will have to include your backpack, water, etc. (and you will want to carry water because you are likely to become thirsty, not to mention hungry, over the course of the day).

Depending on the Grand Canyon mule riding tour that you choose you may stay for one day or two, and your trip may include a stop at a ghost town or small village along one of the trails. For many of these trips which include plenty of stops there will be places along the way where food and drink will be provided, so factor this into your planning and you may be able to simply show up and enjoy the trip without having to bring a lot of heavy supplies with you.

Also keep in mind that the day after you ride on a mule you are likely to be sore, so you should have some time to relax after your mule ride. Good luck planning a mule ride in the Grand Canyon!

Discover Cabo Pulmo-Baja's Best Kept Secret

You will find the hidden Baja vacation destination of Cabo Pulmo just a short drive northeast from Cabo San Lucas. If you're enthralled by kayaking and snorkeling amongst a brilliant array of colorful tropical fish in crystal clear waters, Cabo Pulmo represents a worthy vacation choice or a delightful side trip from Cabo San Lucas. This resort resembles a small village set in a largely unspoiled, pristine landscape overlooking the Sea of Cortez. The resort sits on the edge of a national marine preserve established by Mexico in 1995 where you will find a living coral reef that is one of only three in North American waters.

For more information visit the Cabo Pulmo Vacation site.

Cabo Pulmo's reef system is endowed with tropical marine life that makes it a favorite destination for snorkeling and scuba diving. The reef is readily available from shore and no boat is required. The waters around Cabo Pulmo are clearest between March and October. In addition to the reef, there is the wreck of a tuna boat called El Vencedor that sank in 1981 off the Cabo Pulmo Cape and now forms an excellent artificial reef that also attracts divers. Chances are you will see the Pilot Whales that are common to this area in April and large Jack Crevalles abound in August and September.

To reach Cabo Pulmo from Buena Vista, which is off Mexico's Highway 1, take a paved road marked as La Riberia east from Las Cuevas. This 12 mile long road will pass through La Riberia, a small village of about 2,000 containing a church, a cemetery, tortilleria, a Premex station, trailer homes and simple houses that overlook the beach. From there, take the coastal road south toward Cabo Pulmo. It is paved for part of the way but also contains an unpaved portion about 16 miles long between La Riberia and Cabo Pulmo. This may sound complicated but, in reality, is fairly easy. Remember that large, paved access roads bring in traffic that destroys the ambiance of un-crowded areas like Cabo Pulmo.

Although Cabo Pulmo is a quiet and mostly undiscovered spot now, the Mexican government is now surveying the bay in consideration of giving it national park status. The government has also made the Pulmo reef a nature preserve where no fishing or even anchoring is permitted. If shore development occurs in his area, there is a possibility that pollution could spell the reef's death. So see it now. It's uniquely worthwhile.

Asia Travel-Tours and Sightseeing by Motorcoach

Asia has sometimes been described as a whole other world. The sheer diversity of the cultures, countries and heritages in Asia boggles the imagination, and the only true way to be able to absorb all of the diversity which makes Asia Travel such as phenomenal experience is by savoring every mile of your journey in a Motor Coach Tour.

If you think that Asia is just crowded cities and stultifying airports, you will be astounded at the vistas and perspectives that open to you when you see the countries up close and personal on your Motor Coach sightseeing holiday. Like a 1,000 choice menu at a fine Chinese restaurant, the uninitiated will at first be staggered by the choices available to tour and wonder where they could possibly start. No matter where your Motor Coach Tour takes you in Asia, you will be treated to memorable experiences unlike any other.

You may wonder at the impossibly concentrated city while taking a Hong Kong Tours, flourishing in its British capitalism while surviving under an oppressive Communist regime. Take a stroll through the Forbidden City or Tiananmen Square on a Beijing Sightseeing Tour. Savour incredable delicacies and the beauty of the scenery by taking one of the comfortable Shanghai Sightseeing Tours that are available.

You be astonished by the opulent luxuries and sheer frenzy of Tokyo's Ginza District and take a bullet train past Mount Fuji. You may choose to relax in a state of the art five star resort in Seoul, just a few miles from the heavily militarized border with the North.

Other Asia sightseeing tours will allow you to enjoy the multiculutural fare in Manila; be astounded by modernity when you travel to Vietnam; appreciate the strictly ordered, meticulously clean and sparkling Singapore; party in the all night clubs of Kuala Lumpur; wander the wild streets of Jakarta; engage in every measure of earthly delight in Bangkok; gaze at the towering grandeur surrounding Kathmandu; drink fermented mare's milk in a yurt outside Ulaanbaatar.

Delve into the soul-invigorating spirituality of Mother India, the birthplace of our language and many of our cultural underpinnings, a country of over one billion people so diverse and exhilirating that you could spend several lifetimes exploring it all starting with Delhi Sightseeing Tours, to the Portuguese-flavored beach resorts of Goa, to the soothing tropical heat of Madras and the brilliant ultra-modern tech campuses of Hyderabad.

Asia travel and sightseeing demands to be seen in its entirety, and there truly is no better way to fully understand the continent and let it profoundly touch you than in a Motor Coach Tour.

Golf Travel-Orlando Florida

Orlando Florida Golf Vacations

Florida is a great golf vacation destination, and Orlando's right in the heart of it all. The legendary Arnold Palmer thought enough of the place to buy a resort course there and make it all his own. With nearly ideal weather weather conditions all year long and a literal cornucopia of attractions and things to do, an Orlando golf vacation has a lot to offer!

Of course you can travel with the entire family on your golf vacation; Disneyland remains a major attraction in the area, but many others round off the appeal. Medieval Times has a location there, and the Arabian Nights show is said to be superb. There's a western cowboy show, the Stampede, too! You can experience skydiving in a huge fan-powered simulator, airborne just feet off of the ground! Helicopter tours will show you the area from a seldom seen perspective. There are more dining choices than one could possibly indulge in – everything from down home basic fare to haute cuisine. The culinary institute there in Orlando helps ensure that the restaurants have chefs, rather than cooks, to tantalize the tender palate.

If the outdoors and ocean are appealing to you, the Atlantic's just an hour's drive away. If you play quickly, you can play a round on the Atlantic side at Coco Beach, pick up nine holes of golf in Orlando, Florida and finish off the day in Tampa/Saint Petersburg on the Gulf of Mexico! While you're in Cocoa Beach, you may want to drive on up the highway to the NASA space center. Rocket launches take place on the coast in nearby Titusville, so check the schedule to see that awesome event with your own eyes!

What about golf? It wouldn't fit in this article, might not even fit into a book! There are over a hundred courses; Orlando is very green. Water hazards are a mainstay and add to the strategic complexity. Course designs by just about every great designer in the past century are all offered up, giving golfers of every ability the opportunity to enjoy the game in this pleasant oasis. The quality of the courses? Bay Hilll has already been mentioned. Here's another example: Orange County National Golf Center earned Top 10 You Can Play in the U.S. from Golf Magazine, a 4th and 6th from Zagats, and 4.5 out of 5 stars from Golf Digest! Their 45 holes are open to everyone and you're free to pick and chose which ones you want to play! Can it get much better than that? (Could you live through the experience if it did?)

You owe it to yourself to make Orlando your next Golf Vacation destination.
